How it works

How Beep turns a server into a platform.

Beep installs a small agent on each server, then takes care of builds, releases, routing, certificates and telemetry, so running a server stops being your job.

Connect01

Bring a server, or get one from Beep

Use Beep Cloud, your own cloud account, or any Ubuntu or Debian VPS. Beep installs its runtime and agent, locks the server down, and it is ready in minutes.

server setup · 203.0.113.12
$
→ ubuntu 24.04 · hetzner cx23 · fsn1
✓ firewall inbound denied by default
✓ hardened fail2ban · unattended upgrades
✓ runtime beep agent installed
✓ private network app ports reachable from beep’s edge only
server ready → edge.usebeep.sh

Deploy02

Push to deploy, with a preview for every pull request

Every push to your tracked branch builds and releases on its own. Traffic moves only when health checks pass, and every GitHub pull request gets its own preview environment, removed when it closes.

Operate03

Roll back, promote and stay in control

Rollbacks without rebuilds

Re-release any healthy deployment in one click, using the image it already built.

Environments and roles

Promote staging to production, with per-project access for your team.

Logs, metrics and alerts

Live-tail build and runtime logs. Track CPU, memory, requests, error rate and p95 latency per service.

Self-healing

Crashed containers restart. If a server drifts from what you deployed, Beep releases it back into shape.

What you can run.

Web services

Next.js, Rails, Django, Go and anything else that listens on a port gets a URL and HTTPS.

Static sites

Hosted on Beep’s edge within your plan’s storage, with skew protection between deploys.

Workers

Queue consumers and long-running processes that stay private, with no public address.

Scheduled jobs

Cron schedules in the time zone you choose. Each job runs, then exits.

Databases

Postgres 16 to 18 with pgvector and PostGIS, plus Redis and Valkey.

MCP servers

Deploy HTTP-based MCP servers as web services, next to the APIs your agents call.

The things people ask first.

Straight answers. Anything missing, ask us directly.

Do I need to know Docker or DevOps?

No. Beep detects your stack, builds it with Railpack, and runs it for you. If you already have a Dockerfile or a prebuilt image, Beep uses that instead.

Which servers can I use?

Beep Cloud, your own cloud account, or any Ubuntu or Debian VPS. Beep installs its runtime and agent, then locks the server down: inbound traffic is denied by default, and app ports are reachable only from Beep’s edge over an encrypted private network.

What can I run on Beep?

Web services in Next.js, Rails, Django, Go and anything else that listens on a port; static sites; queue workers; cron jobs; Postgres 16 to 18 with pgvector and PostGIS, plus Redis and Valkey; and HTTP-based MCP servers deployed as web services for your AI agents.

How do zero-downtime releases work?

Rolling and blue-green releases start the new version first and shift traffic once it passes health checks. Rolling back re-releases an earlier image, with no rebuild.

Which plans include preview environments?

Developer and above. Active pull request previews are 3 on Developer, 10 on Team, and 25 on Business; Hobby has none. Each GitHub pull request gets its own environment on your servers, removed when the pull request closes.

Can I SSH into my servers?

No, and that’s deliberate. Beep manages each host end to end, so manual changes can’t conflict with its setup and Beep can stay responsible for security. To debug, open a shell inside any container from the dashboard, right next to your logs and metrics.

Where do my builds run?

Every plan includes Beep build minutes and can also build on its own connected server without using them, though builds there compete with running apps for CPU and memory. A separate build server counts toward your plan’s server limit.

Do I pay per app or per database?

No. Beep is billed per server, never per service. Run as many services, workers, cron jobs and databases as you like on each server. Plans start at $1 a month.

Own your infrastructure again.
